Local artist Shane Dalmedo says the Berlin Art Residency exchange has been a worthwhile experience. Spending four weeks affiliated to the Lichtenberg Studios, her presentation has focused on her trajectory in the city and reactions to her surroundings. On this occasion the artist documents her journey mainly through the use of photographs, with video installations part of her narrative too. A trip to the Statsi prison, left an impression, with her trademark dolls used to reflect her work on the human condition.
The joint exhibition together with Berlin artist Brigit Hoelmer, is on at the John Mackntosh Hall until the 20th of the month.
