Chief Minister accuses the Opposition Leader of placing party political considerations over the national interest

With friends like Daniel Feetham, we don’t need enemies to bring Gibraltar down. That is the conclusion of the Chief Minister, who accuses the Opposition Leader of placing party political considerations over the national interest.

This follows a string of press releases, where Mr Feetham claims not to have been fully briefed by Number Six on the Government’s Brexit Strategy.

Mr Picardo however says however that Mr Feetham was indeed fully briefed on the Government’s contingency strategy by the Deputy Chief Minister in the Brexit Select Committee, and it’s regrettable that he should now behave as if this hadn’t happened.

Mr Picardo says the Government has been leaving no stone unturned since 23 June in its campaign to lobby on Gibraltar’s behalf, but in that time all Mr Feetham has done is gripe and criticise in an unconstructive way.
