Davis says UK Government has not assessed impact of Brexit on economy

Brexit Secretary David Davis has told the House of Commons Brexit Committee that the Government has not undertaken any impact assessments on the effects of Brexit on 58 different sectors of the UK economy.

He also admitted no economic impact studies were carried out before the cabinet decision to leave the EU Customs Union, and no assessments have been made on the possible economic effect of a no-deal Brexit.

David Davis faces calls by some MP’s to be held in Contempt for having mislead Parliament.
