A team from Gibraltar’s Department of the Environment and Climate Change has met with the Mayor of London’s Environment team to discuss common issues.
The group, headed by Minister John Cortes and Environment CEO Dr Lisel Torres, flew to London to discuss issues such as traffic and transport, air quality, waste and recycling, energy efficiency and green infrastracuture.
Dr Cortes said that despite the vast differences in size, Gibraltar has a great deal in common with London in respect of environmental problems and possibilities. He said Sadiq Khan’s aims and programmes were very similar to Gibraltar’s, and much can be gained by maintaining close contact..
