Local man in his 20s arrested for drink-driving following a traffic accident on Line Wall Road

A local man in his 20s has been arrested for drink-driving following a traffic accident on Line Wall Road last night.

A video of the aftermath has been circulated widely on social media. The accident took place at around 10.30 in the evening, with extensive damage to a number of cars parked along the road. Nobody was hurt. Line Wall Road was closed to traffic for over an hour after the accident.

A spokesperson for the Royal Gibraltar Police told GBC a 25 year old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, and has been released on police bail. The RGP would like to remind people of the dangers of drink driving, particularly at this time of year. They add RoadWatch patrols are in place, using roadside breathalysers and drug testing.
