Ros Astengo began her career as a banker before being accepted at London’s Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts where she studied drama. Upon graduating she earned her equity card by producing and starring in a Theatre-in-Education tour for schools, and continued to work professionally as an actress, presenter and voice-over artist for over 10 years in the UK. Her work includes Film (Feature & Short selected for Best of British Film Festival), Television (BBC & Channel 4), Theatre and multi-media (Matinee Sound & Vision).

In between acting jobs, Ros also worked part-time as a theatrical agent giving her insight into how the business works. Since moving to Gibraltar in 2000, she has worked as a regular News Presenter for GBC TV, also co-producing and presenting other programmes such as “Sweet Somethings” and “Health Matters”. More recently, she has co-produced the short film shot locally “My Keeper”, which is currently entering film festivals around the world.

Ros is also a firm believer in giving back to the community and has created Stagestruck Productions which offers talented young performers scholarships to prestigious UK theatre schools and gives them exposure to major UK theatre professionals. She also organises the Shakespeare 4 Kidz theatre tour to Gibraltar on behalf of the Ministry of Culture giving many schoolchildren their first introduction to Shakespeare. In her spare time, Ros project manages the Future Leaders in Philanthropy project for the Bonita Trust.

She is married to Paul and has three young children.
