Michael began his broadcasting career at the Gibraltar Broadcasting Corporation in 2001 as part of a work experience programme. During this time he provided promos and commercials for Radio Gibraltar.
In 2002 and 2003 he began producing and presenting two programmes “Play” (A half hour chart music show) and “The Sunset Route” (A two hour music and chat show) and occasionally covering during the Afternoon Show. Between 2003 and 2005 Michael took part in a media course at Oxford & Cherwell Valley College. “This was a fantastic opportunity to get to grips with all forms of today’s media; television, radio and written.”
Since 2005 Michael has been a part of the news team at the GBC Newsroom, working as a broadcast journalist, providing news material for both radio and television. He has covered a myriad of stories, both political and on community affairs. “Telling the stories of the everyday person and their achievements, however big or small, those are the stories people want to watch, those are the ones that touch the community.”
Michael also occasionally fronts the News Review programme and his involvement with radio continues, providing cover as a producer and presenter for the Breakfast Show.
