Unite claims no early exit packages will be made available to Government departments, as reported by GBC News. It says it has contacted Number Six Convent Place and been told the information has been wrongly published.
A recent edition of the Gibraltar Gazette shows the Financial Secretary approving early exit schemes, some of which are historical, in the following departments: Buildings and Works, the Housing Works Agency, Mechanical and Electrical Services, Technical Services, Customs and the Port Authority.
In reply to GBC questions, the Government did not want to comment on the schemes, only saying the packages have previously been referred to in Parliament or will be when implemented.Unite says only a side letter of agreement has been approved by Unite the Union which removes certain inequalities affecting different grades within a Housing and Works collective agreement.
