A car-shaped bicycle rack has been installed at Europort Road.
The Government claims the area has fast become Gibraltar’s main cycling hub and believes the rack sends a clear message of a move towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly use of the public highway using the space normally occupied by a single car to park up to 10 bicycles.
Transport Minister Paul Balban, says ten bicycles potentially means ten fewer cars on the road which can only be good for Gibraltar and the environment. The Ministry, he says, will continue to provide cycling infrastructure.
