Access to beaches to remain restricted until 16th June

Government is warning that if beaches become too crowded and social distancing is not observed, it could restrict access. In this event, access would be limited to thirty minutes for the purpose of exercise.

Although lockdown restrictions have been lifted, Government reiterates the best way to protect yourself from the spread of Covid 19 is to stay at home.

Access to the beaches remains restricted for safety reasons, with no lifeguards on duty until the start of the Bathing season on the 16th of June.

The Golden Hour scheme has also been effected in law, with access to Camp Bay and Eastern Beach limited to over 70s only, between 10am and noon.
