​Adolfo Canepa set to receive Freedom of the City in 2020

Mr Azopardi, Mr Picardo and Mr Farrell all paid tribute to the outgoing Speaker, Adolfo Canepa. The Chief Minister said Mr Canepa's public service has taken in all the great offices of state in Gibraltar. He has been a government minister, Chief Minister, Leader of the Opposition, Mayor, Governor in an Acting capacity, and most recently Speaker of Parliament.

Mr Picardo revealed that in the new year a motion will be moved in Parliament to confer the Freedom of the City on Mr Canepa. The ceremony could take place next spring.
