Andalucia is battling a series of fresh Covid-19 outbreaks just a week after Spain re-opened its borders to tourism.
The region has recorded the third highest amount of cases in the country over the past 24 hours, with 12 testing positive out of 118 nationally.
Together with Aragon and Madrid, the three regions make up the majority of the country’s latest Coronavirus figures.
Five of Andalucia’s eight provinces, which include popular tourist resorts in Malaga and the Costa del Sol, have all reported new Covid-19 outbreaks since Spain declared an end to its national emergency on the 21st June.
Malaga’s Red Cross Centre has now recorded 91 cases while the Campo de Gibraltar currently has 23 active cases.
