Another homeless man arrested for failing to comply with COVID-19 lockdown measures

The RGP has confirmed that a man was arrested today for failing to comply with lockdown measures.

The fine weather at the start of the weekend encouraged some people to be out and about and the RGP told GBC the majority did adhere to Government advice on Covid-19 measures.

However, in similar circumstances to Friday, the homeless man refused to comply despite being directed to the shelter at the Garrison Gym.

The 49-year-old Polish National was arrested at Watergardens before being taken to New Mole House.

He was later de-arrested after complying with the Officers, and taken to the Garrison Gym.
