The GHA has confirmed that a "very small number of doses" of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine were received from the UK a few weeks ago, adding these have been allocated only to those with multiple medication allergies.
Regarding the wider vaccination programme, the GHA also encourages anyone over 40 who is interested in being vaccinated and has not yet been called to get in touch.
The Ministry of Health said there are currently no plans to bring any more of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine to Gibraltar, as there is sufficient supply to vaccinate all those who need it clinically.
The Ministry said the focus of the vaccination programme remains the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, adding 34,600 doses have been given to date, with no wastage - with Friday the busiest day since the programme began, seeing 1290 vaccines administered. It says the supply of this so far has been sufficient for all priority age groups from 40 years old and above.
The GHA is encouraging all those over 40 who have not yet been invited for vaccination and have not previously registered on the online database to do so on gha.gi or by calling 200 66966.
