All travel restrictions for the Campo de Gibraltar will be lifted as from 12 am on Friday. (Midnight Thursday)
It means people can now travel freely across the seven municipalities which make up the Campo area.
A number of strict restrictions had remained in place until now for a number of localities, notably Algeciras.
Now, all seven meet the Andalusian government's criterion of having fewer than 500 active cases of Covid per 100 thousand.
Provincial borders however have still not been lifted by the Junta de Andalucia, and travel between say, the provinces of Cadiz and Malaga is still not possible.
The Andalusian government has delayed its decision to lift the travel ban between provinces until after the Dia de Andalucia holiday this weekend.
It is expected to make an anouncement on Wednesday the 3rd of March.,
