Chief Minister speaks to Europe Minister Stephen Doughty ahead of UK Spain meeting

The Europe Minister has reassured the Chief Minister that UK Government will continue to abide by a principle of "nothing about you without you," ahead of a meeting between the UK and Spanish Prime Ministers this week.

This follows a conversation between the Chief Minister and the UK's Minister for Europe with responsibility for Gibraltar Stephen Doughty.

The catch up forms part of preparations for the meeting.

Mr Picardo and Mr Doughty agreed it was important to finalise the UK-EU treaty text about Gibraltar as soon as possible.
