"Choice, independence, inclusion".. the importance of accessibility

A pair of business owners have been quick to act when it was brought to their attention that their new barber shop was not wheelchair accessible.

Eric Rowbottom of the Supported Needs Action Group was speaking on GBC's City Pulse when he highlighted this fact, which he says forms part of a wider conversation.

Mr Rowbottom says the government needs to implement legislation that would require new businesses to be accessible to all, although he's glad this situation was quickly resolved with goodwill and community spirit.
