The clothing store F&F is closing down and Matalan is to open in the two stores located at the Piazza and Main Street.
The CEO of Pisa International, the group that owns the Gibraltar franchise, confirmed a strategic decision was taken not to renew F&F’S five year contract. Frank Hernandez said Matalan was a valued retailer more suited to the local market. The British brand, established in 1985, has 217 stores across the UK, and is a direct competitor of Primark UK. The Piazza store will sell men and women clothing, with the 44
Main Street branch allocated to kids clothing and homeward. All goods will be sold at UK prices. F&F’s last day will be 27th January, with Matalan opening on 15th March.
