A man has been sentenced to 150 hours' unpaid work after he tased someone with a stun gun.
25 year old Yassin Lahmas was arrested earlier this year after he gave a friend a minor electric shock to the arm in a local restaurant. No visible injuries were sustained, with the complainant saying he did not feel threatened by the incident.
Lahmas later pleaded guilty to the possession of an offensive weapon.
When handing down the community service order, Stipendiary Magistrate Charles Pitto said the defendant had shown a "healthy dose of stupid", adding he hoped he didn't see him back in court.
The stun gun is now said to be in Morocco, where it was purchased.
