​Companies prepare for impact of Coronavirus; travellers face costly cancellations

The Covid-19 epidemic could see up to a fifth of the workforce off sick when the coronovirus peaks, according to the UK Government.

Internationally, companies are stepping up their own contingency planning to prevent the virus from spreading through offices by asking staff to work from home.

GBC has learned that at least one company on the Rock has imposed an outright business travel ban on employees. Meanwhile the travel industry has been hit hard by cancellations.
