Contact Tracing changes test result notification process for school children

As from this week, parents of school children who test positive for Covid will be receiving letters from the Contact Tracing Bureau via the schools.

This comes as the Bureau changes its procedures to prioritise calls to the elderly, vulnerable and health care workers.

Positive cases will continue to receive initial notification via SMS message and are encouraged to complete online forms as instructed.

The Bureau will try and call everyone within the isolation period.

Pupils under the age of 18 who are close contacts don't have to isolate unless they develop symptoms.
