The COVID-19 vaccination programme is in full swing again after a brief break yesterday while the centres awaited the arrival of more vaccines.
The second shipment of vaccines arrived in the evening, via an RAF plane.
The Ministry of Health says the GHA's vaccination process starts at five each morning, when the pharmacy team begins to thaw out the vaccine to prepare for a busy day ahead.
It points out that the strategy to vaccinate people as quickly as possible requires that two teams work in parallel. Frontlineworkers are vaccinated at St Bernard's Hospital, while the Public Vaccination Centre in the ICC is vaccinating people over the age of 65, and those who are clinically vulnerable.
It reminds anyone over the age of 65 who hasn't yet been contacted for an appointment and hasn't previously registered to do so on gha.gi or call 200 66966.
