Cultural Summer Programme well attended so far, says Cultural Services

The Cultural Summer Programme has been well attended so far with workshops, art-movement, book clubs, street art and story-telling just some of the activities that have kept young people busy during the school holidays.

Organised by Cultural Services, children have enjoyed interactive exercises themed around the summer exhibition at the GEMA gallery. A second workshop there saw youngsters take part in a collaborative maritime artwork.

The Summer Book Club at the John Mackintosh Hall is all about exploring new books and learning how the library works, as well as listening to audio books from the new Borrowbox.

And Street Art provided plenty of points for discussion in the Mural walk. Meanwhile, Story Telling will be going on tour throughout August, with youngsters treated to some fun publications and interactive reading.
