Customs rescues vessel in distress

Customs has carried out a rescue at sea after a local vessel without engine power drifted towards Europa Point. 

HMC Sentinel was deployed following a distress call and arrived on scene to find the vessel only metres away from the rocks. The individuals on board were attempting to row with make shift oars against a strong westerly wind and rough seas.

Officers secured the vessel and towed it back to the Small Boats Marina.
