Deadline for tax returns extended by a week for those who had started eServices registration before due date

The deadline for tax returns has been extended by a week - but only for those submitting their returns via the e-services portal.

Those attempting to do so were sent a message saying that everyone who's started the process of verifying their ID and registering with Tax eServices will be able to submit their income tax declaration and allowances within the seven-day extension.

A Government spokesperson said this is designed to give them ample time to complete the registration process, given that this has spanned the due date of the 30th November. It doesn't apply to any other form of tax return filing, or anyone starting the process after the deadline.
