The Diabetes Gibraltar group has warned of a 'type 2 diabetes timebomb' on the Rock, with more people living with the condition than ever.
The charity held an awareness campaign in Main Street over the weekend with information given on living with diabetes and the differences between type one and type two.
It's been described as a 'ticking timebomb', with nearly 3,000 people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes on the Rock. The local support group says by adopting a healthy lifestyle type 2 diabetes can be reversed and prevented and is raising awareness in a bid to get these numbers down.
