The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will have a period of transition in which they will spend time in Canada and the UK.
This has been announced in a statement from the Queen, following what she described as "very constructive discussions" on the future of Prince Harry, Meghan and their family.
The Queen said although she and her family "would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family", they "respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family".
The Queen added that these are "complex matters" for her family to resolve, and that there is some more work to be done, but that she has asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.
