Over 60 researchers from 15 countries will be attending the 25th European Association of Substance Abuse Research Conference at the University next week.
Hosted by the University's Centre of Excellence in Responsible Gaming, the event aims to stimulate and strengthen European cooperation on addiction research, which in turn could help prevention and treatment.
The event will run from the 12th to the 15th May and will also include a series of public lectures on addiction and problem gambling.
Ros Astengo spoke to the Centre's Chair Dr Zsolt Demerovics to find out more.
