It was a busy day for the emergency services. In addition to the power cut, there were two fires.
Three Royal Gibraltar Police officers had to be treated for smoke inhalation after evacuating a building on Cornwall's Lane.
No casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, while the power cut was underway, the Fire and Rescue Service extinguished a fire in a scrapyard on Devil's Tower Road.
