​Employers encouraged to introduce measures to support menopausal women in the workplace

The UK Government has rejected recommendations to trial menopause leave and make it a 'protected characteristic' under the equalities Act.

It believes it could create new forms of discrimination against men. Employers are encouraged to be compassionate and flexible to the needs of their employees.
