The Equality Rights Group is accusing the Government of not delivering on clear and solid manifesto commitments on the requirements for drug rehabilitation improvements and on other social issues. As a Civil Society NGO, it says, it’s not going to remain silent.
The ERG points out there’s still no comprehensive disability legislation in place, despite the Government’s electoral promises that this would be in place within the first year in office. It also highlights out that after almost seven months since the introduction of full marriage rights for LGBT couples, who previously entered into Civil Partnership, they’re still unable to convert to full marriage, despite this being a clear provision in law.
The Equality Rights Group denies it has a personal campaign against Minister Samanatha Sacramento and reminds her that its duty is to Civil Society.
