The Financial Intelligence Unit has established a partnership with the Bankers’ Association which aims to bring together the collective experience and resources of both private and public sectors in an initiative aimed at countering financial crimes.
The Financial Liaison and Intelligence Network (FLINT), will facilitate the sharing of information between the RGP, HMCustoms, the Financial Services Commission and a number of local banks.
Director of the GFIU, Edgar Lopez, said the initiative will provide added protection to the integrity of Gibraltar’s finance centre, and that he looks forward to further developing FLINT.
