The first Seniors Tea for Two was a great success and looks set to become a monthly event.
In an effort to reduce loneliness among our older citizens, the initiative has been welcomed by many and saw an impressive spread of sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks. There was plenty of conversation and music from the 40's, 50's and 60's as well as a game of Trivia.
The event was organised by Sophie Clifton-Tucker of Little English and the Gibraltar Magazine together with Jason Harper of B2 Projects. They have passed on their thanks to the IPA club for their hospitality.
Miss Clifton-Tucker said "after hearing their stories and sharing a giggle over a cuppa, it's clear we can all learn something from our elders".
The Seniors Tea for Two will be held every second Tuesday of the month at 2pm, at the IPA Police club with the next one being held on National Day, when there will be a bar-b-q with live music.
