'Friendly and constructive' says Government of meeting of MoU Committee on Citizen's Rights

The second meeting of the MoU Committee on Citizen's Rights held in Gibraltar on Thursday has been described as "friendly and constructive".

The talks, hosted by the Government, were at a technical and official level with the Gibraltar team led by Attorney General Michael Llamas.

The meeting at the Garrison Library included representatives from the Gibraltar Government, the UK and Spain, as well as from Spanish regional and local authorities.

The protection of the rights of British Citizens (including Gibraltarians) in the European Union, and the rights of EU nationals in the UK and on the Rock, were set out in the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement.

The other MoU Committees will also be meeting in Gibraltar this month
