From one Commodore to the next: Command changes hands in Gibraltar
Community / Law & Order | 26th June 2026, 19:07 |
Four years after arriving on the Rock, Commodore Tom Guy has handed over command of British Forces Gibraltar before retiring from the Royal Navy.
His departure was marked by a ceremonial farewell, with bagpipes, an 11-gun salute and a final journey from Gibraltar by sea.
Taking over the role is Commodore Tim Davey, who says he’s looking forward to building on his predecessor’s work.
Katy Docker spoke to both the outgoing and incoming Commander British Forces.
