GFA looking to host international matches at Victoria Stadium

The Gibraltar Football Association is looking at Victoria Stadium for the hosting of UEFA International matches.

Communications Manager Steven Gonzalez, told GBC the GFA is awaiting a report  in relation to the use of the Victoria Stadium for UEFA competitions.  The report's author, Mark Timmer from UEFA, visited the Rock in December.  Steven Gonzalez added that until the report is received the Gibraltar FA is not in an position to comment nor make any requests to UEFA regarding stadium issues.

UEFA regulations allow for stadium exemptions in cases of particular hardship, with Luxembourg granted one for its Euro qualifier against Spain last year.
