The GFA has confirmed there will be no reduction to the requirement for home grown players in league games,

Current rules require that three ‘Gibraltar eligible players’ be on the pitch at all times, meaning players who meet any of the criteria to represent the national team.

Following continued speculation that some clubs were planning to push for the reduction or removal of this rule, the football association has made clear its position, with Ivan Robba saying 'it’s a fundamental principle' of the GFA to have these players on the pitch every week.

He spoke with Jose Mari Ruiz during Saturday’s game against the Cayman Islands.
