In Gibraltar, concerns over the possible effect of a Spanish hauliers' strike on supply lines, as well as the rising price of fuel due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, saw people panic-buying petrol on Friday.
However, Director of Commercial Services at GibOil, Harry Murphy, told GBC the situation has calmed down since then, with fuel stocks still in place, and contingency plans to potentially bring in petrol via sea from Morocco should the strike continue for some time.
On Friday, GibOil had told GBC it had brought in an extra container of fuel to ensure its reserves would not run dry. GBC reporter, Christina Cortes, asked Mr Murphy about the situation and the reserves post-weekend.
