The Gibraltar International Bank is advising its customers about how to avoid phone scams.

It's emailed them with tips about how to protect themselves from fraud and keep their finances secure.

The bank says fraudsters are calling people to try to access their card details and online banking.

It says it will never ask for anyone's PIN, password, or full card number by email, phone, or text.

The bank says if you receive a call or message that seems suspicious, don't respond immediately - instead, contact the bank directly on its official phone number.

It also advises people not to click on links or download attachments from unknown or unexpected sources.

Gib Bank also advises people to use strong and unique online banking passwords, and not to share these with anyone.

And, it says, if you think you've been the victim of a scam, or if you notice any suspicious activity, you should contact the bank immediately to resolve any issues and secure your account.
