The Threat Level for Gibraltar has been downgraded for the first time in five years from "Substantial" to "Moderate".
This means an attack on the Rock is possible, but not likely.
Gibraltar has been at a ‘substantial’ threat level since the 2015 terrorist attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
The downgrade comes following a meeting of the Civil Contingency Council which assesses all available intelligence.
It says, however, that notwithstanding the reduced level, there remains a broad threat of terrorism and all people who live, work or visit Gibraltar should remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
