GibSams has increased its services following an influx of Covid-19 related calls this year. The charity says loneliness during lockdown has been the biggest problem, with callers expressing "tremendous fear of dying alone".
GibSams now offers an online chat service, as well as its free helpline and is calling for more volunteers to help with the extra service.
The helpline and online chat service are available daily from 6pm to midnight. You can call 116 123 anonymously or visit gibsams.gi for the chat service.
