The Gibraltar National Dance Organisation has selected the 2018 National team, made up of a total of thirty three dancers. This follows an audition process in March, with the members coming from a variety of local dance schools.
The team will compete at international events, including the European Show Dance Championships in Italy, the World Show Dance Championships in the Czech Republic and the World Modern and Contemporary, Jazz and Ballet Championships in Poland.
The team will be organised into various groups, duets and solos for this year’s competitions.
GNDO President, Wendy Garro, says the majority of the dancers have performed both locally and internationally adding the organisation is delighted everyone is doing their best to represent Gibraltar to the highest of standards.
Meanwhile, the Honorary Lifetime President of the GNDO and the International judge for the world governing body International Dance Organisation, Michael Prescott, has been selected as a judge for the European Dance Show Championships in Genoa, Italy later this month.
