Government announces initiative to tackle Gibraltar's drugs problem, criticised by Opposition parties

An initiative to tackle Gibraltar's drug problems will see the Bruce's Farm residential facility refurbished and two therapeutic drug counsellors employed.

The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, launched a project that the Government says will see a strategic and comprehensive attack on Gibraltar's growing drug problem.

But the plan has not been launched without criticism. Together Gibraltar has hit out at the Government, branding the plans a “public relations gimmick".

The GSD, for their part, have highlighted Government’s year-long delay, from announcement to the launch.
