Government to break ground on new comprehensives in April

The Government expects to break ground on the two new comprehensive schools this April, and should the September 2019 target completion date be missed, transitioning to the new buildings could take place either during Christmas that year or Easter 2020.

This according to the Minister for Education following a presentation of the third stage in the design and consultation process for the new Bayside and Westside Schools.

Dr John Cortes also confirmed that both comprehensives would be co-educational as soon as they open their doors.
