Former Chief Minister Sir Peter Caruana says it's not for the EU to decide Gibraltar's status, in response to the EU's inclusion of Gibraltar as a colony in its Brexit legislation footnotes. However, he warned against the term being adopted in future statements. He was speaking to RosAstengoin an interview for last night's Viewpoint programme called Gibraltar and the Road to Self-Governance.
Chief Minister Fabian Picardo also expressed his disappointment with a Plide Cumry MP, who tweeted pictures of Gibraltar's old colonial passport last weekend.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia, who was a live guest, said the Government is seeing an unprecedented level of engagement with the UN's Committee of 24, confirming that No.6 had received a letter from its Chairman.
