The Government has replied to the Opposition's statement that it has tabled Parliamentary questions on the Sovereign Wealth Fund by saying it looks forward to answering all 35 of Roy Clinton’s questions so that citizens and taxpayers can have all the correct information about the excellent initiative being pursued.

It adds this will ensure the public is not misled or unnecessarily concerned by, what it terms, the GSD’s alarmist approach to something as positive for our community as the Gibraltar Sovereign Wealth Fund.

The Chief Minister says:

"I look forward to answering Mr Clinton’s questions and laying out for the public all the benefits that it will bring for our community and our long-term financial security. I trust that there will be no cynicism in the approach from Mr Clinton to our initiative and that he will fully support the Gibraltar Sovereign Wealth Fund and the potential for it to produce magnificent results for our people and in particular future generations of Gibraltarians."
