Government says resurfacing works to roads which are now seeing tail end of major construction works are due to start in the next three months

Government says that resurfacing works to roads which are now seeing the tail end of major construction works are due to start in the next three months.

These include stretches of roads in the areas of Queensway, Reclamation Road and Winston Churchil Avenue. Government however, warns that some disruption will be unavoidable, despite careful forward planning.

The Government has responded to criticism from the GSD, saying that if resurfacing had been carried out during the busiest period of construction, roads would have suffered rapid degradation, and taxpayers’ money would have been wasted.Government says however, that “quieter” stretches of road, in the South District, are currently undergoing resurfacing.
