The Governor, Lieutenant General Edward Davis, will be departing the Rock on Tuesday following a sunset ceremony at the Convent on Monday evening.
He will be leaving the Convent for the last time at Tuesday lunchtime, and will meet people down Main Street, before heading to the airport for his flight to the UK. A 17 Royal Gun salute will be fired from Grand Battery House in honour of his departure.
In a message to the people of Gibraltar, Lieutenant General Davis has thanked the people of Gibraltar for their warmth, friendship, respect and generosity and says he and his wife, Lorraine, have no doubt, and will always champion, that Gibraltar will continue to be Gibraltar.
