Govt to raise Direct Debit date changes with Gibtelecom

The Government will raise Gibtelecom's decision to change direct debits from the 28th of the month to the 21st at the next board meeting.

In answers to questions from Opposition Leader, Keith Azopardi, in Parliament, Minister Nigel Feetham said this was a decision made by management to bring direct debits in line with the day bills were issued.

Mr Azopardi he had received a lot of complaints from pensioners that they were now being debited in advance of their monthly income instead of after.
