The Government says GSD MP, Damon Bossino, is casting unwarranted doubt on the professionalism and integrity of the Development and Planning Commission.
This comes after the GSD accused the Government of a "haphazard and incompetent approach to planning" over the change in plans for a new College of Further Education.
The DPC discussed, and ultimately approved, the new plans, with the College now set to be built at Europa Point instead of by the Cross of Sacrifice.
Number Six says the Minister for Education presented in detail the "considerable educational benefits" of the Europa Point site, and that upon examination, the DPC voted decisively in favour of the project.
The Government says the Europa Point site is immediately available, Government-owned land, and also offers over a thousand square metres more in space than the original location.
It adds it also avoids the relocation of the Cross of Sacrifice, and allows for the design of a facility tailored specifically for educational use.
Minister for Education, John Cortes, said, "The Opposition's attempt to undermine this achievement shows no concern for students or for the future of education".
